A reliever with the Diamondbacks and Tigers, Lyon signed a three-year deal with the Astros in 2009. He began the 2010 season in the set-up role but spent the last two months as the closer, racking up 20 saves in that time. Lyon missed time in 2011 with injuries and struggled when he was on the mound.
