Nov 27 1961 - Outfielders Mike White and Johnny Weekly are selected during the winter supplemental draft. White's career year is 1964 when he bats .271 in 89 games for the Colts. He makes token appearances in 1963 and 1965, his only other two seasons in the majors.
Sep 15 1963 - The Colts surrender just seven hits in sweeping a twinbill from the Mets, 5-4 and 5-0. Turk Farrell goes the distance on four hits in the opener while fanning eleven. Chris Zachary and Hal Woodeshick combine for a three-hit shutout in the nightcap. Teenager Rusty Staub and Johnny Weekly go deep in the second game.

Jan 06 1966 - The Astros deal outfielder Johnny Weekly and cash to the Mets for pitcher Gary Kroll. The righthander would see just ten games with Houston.
Nov 24 1974 - Johnny Weekly dies at age 37 in Walnut Creek, CA in an auto accident. The reserve outfielder batted .207 in parts of three seasons with the Colt .45s.
