Dec 5, 1948:Walter Francis "Buddy" Harris is born in Philadelphia, PA. The 6-7 reliever would post a 1-1 record with a 6.32 ERA over two seasons as an Astro (1970-1971). They were his only years in the majors.
Nov 27, 1972:Pitcher Buddy Harris and outfielder Rich Chiles are traded to the Mets for outfielder Tommie Agee. While Chiles and Harris accomplish little in New York, Agee bats .235 in 83 games before getting dealt in mid-season.
