Jul 29, 2010:Traded by the Philadelphia Phillies with Anthony Gose and Jonathan Villar to the Houston Astros for Roy Oswalt.
Jul 20, 2012:Traded by the Houston Astros with David Carpenter and Brandon Lyon to the Toronto Blue Jays for a player to be named later, Francisco Cordero, Ben Francisco, Joe Musgrove, Carlos Perez, David Rollins and Asher Wojciechowski. The Toronto Blue Jays sent Kevin Comer (minors) (August 16, 2012) to the Houston Astros to complete the trade.

Jul 29, 2010:Astros deal ace pitcher Roy Oswalt to the Phillies for pitcher J.A. Happ and minor leaguers Anthony Gose and Jonathan Villar. Gose is then sent to Toronto for first baseman Brett Wallace. Oswalt has a 143-82 record over ten seasons with Houston. He leaves unable to tie Joe Niekro for the franchise record for victories. Two days later, the Astros trade slugger Lance Berkman to the New York Yankees, sending away their last two stars from the 2005 World Series team.
Jun 13, 2012:Matt Cain of the Giants tosses a perfect game, 10-0, in San Francisco. Cain also struck out 14 Astros. J.A. Happ was lit early for eight runs and 11 hits in the first three innings. Giant fans will remember the great diving catch made by Gregor Blanco to rob Jordan Schafer of extra bases in the seventh.
