Aug 3, 2011:After deadline trades send Hunter Pence and Michael Bourn away for prospects, the rebuilding Astros take 2-of-3 from Cincinnati, including a 5-4 victory that is the first major league win for 20-year-old Jordan Lyles. Outfielder J.D. Martinez, called up from AA less than a week before, smashes a homer and double to drive in four. 21-year-old Jose Altuve and 22-year-old Jimmy Paredes add two hits apiece.
Apr 19, 2012:The Astros tie a record with three triples in one inning on their way to an 11-4 blowout in Washington. Jose Altuve, Brian Bogusevic and Jason Castro launch three-baggers in the first as part of a five-run outburst then Houston adds five more runs in the sixth, including a two-run single from Bud Norris and a two-run double by Altuve. Bogesvic and Castro lead the 17-hit attack with three hits each.
