Born: Feb 15, 1950
A fifth-round choice of the Astros in 1968, Houston native Yount was called up to the majors in September of 1971. He was finally called into a game against the Braves on September 15th, but arrived on the mound and hurt his arm throwing warm up tosses.
He waived for the trainer and was taken out of the game, never to return. He makes the official record because he officially entered the game but he never actually threw a pitch in his big league career.
