A second-round draft pick out of Pepperdine by the Detroit Tigers in 2007, Worth made his MLB debut in 2010. After bouncing between Detroit and AAA for five seasons, Worth became a minor league Free Agent and was signed by the Arizona Diamondbacks. Worth spent the entire 2015 season at AAA Reno, where he posted a career-best .314/.394/.469 slash line in 106 games.
Granted Free Agency by the Diamondbacks after the 2015 season, the Astros signed Worth to a minor league deal in January and invited him to Spring Training. Worth slugged .581 in 24 Spring games and was assigned to AAA Fresno to start the season. After raking to the tune of a .340 average and eight home runs in 54 games with the Grizzlies, Worth forced his way onto the Astros' big league roster as a utility infielder.
