Born: Feb 27, 1937
A native of Dallas, Warwick was signed by the Dodgers and made his debut with them in 1961 but was soon traded to St. Louis. The Cardinals dealt him to the expansion Colt .45s the following year and spent two seasons patrolling the outfield in Houston before he was dealt back to St. Louis in 1964. He kicked around with the Orioles and Cubs before his big league career ended.
Warwick was a .257 hitter with 23 homers in two seasons with the Colts. For his six seasons in the majors, he batted .248 with 31 homers.
After retirement, he returned to Houston and continues to live in the area. He has been prominent in efforts to promote the Texas Baseball Hall of Fame.
