Missouri-born Wall was drafted by Houston in the 18th round and came up to the majors in 1995. Over three seasons, he posted a 14-14 record with a 5.00 ERA and one shutout. Waived after the 1997 season, his rights bounced from Cincinnati to Detroit to San Diego in one off-season but he stuck with the Padres for three seasons and helped them reach the World Series in 1998. His final two seasons took place with the Mets and Angels. For his eight-year career, he compiled a 31-28 record with two saves and a 4.20 ERA. |
