Once a top prospect of the Mets, the Maryland native had four seasons in New York and one in Cleveland before returning to the minors. He signed with the Astros farm in 1999 and got into 12 games for the parent club, batting .200 with one homer. He then caught on with the Yankees, Marlins and Brewers in backup roles to complete his career. Over nine seasons, he registered a .243 average with 52 homers for his career. |
