It wasn't a wonderful life for utility player Jimmy Stewart during his big league career, at least while he was the plate. The Alabama native spent five seasons with the Cubs, one with the crosstown White Sox and three with the Reds before he was tossed into the infamous Joe Morgan trade to Houston.

Overall, he hit .237 with eight homers over ten big league seasons, the last two in Houston where he hit .207 in 129 games, mostly off the bench.

Stewart passed away on November 24, 2012 in Odessa, FL at age 73.
