The Houston-born infielder was a fifth-round choice in 1975 by the Astros. He debuted with them in 1981 and hit .276 in 67 games over two seasons. He was dealt to the Padres for lefthander Danny Boone in 1982 and later played for the Giants. For his brief big league career, he was a .263 hitter with 13 steals.
