Adalberto Pena was a reserve shortstop in the 1980s who couldn't crack the starting lineup of the Astros and become a regular. The Puerto Rican signed in 1977 and debuted with Houston in 1981, going 1-for-2. He never appeared in more than 24 games a season in the big leagues, even though he played in six seasons. Overall, he batted .203 with one homer in 88 career games. |
