A crafty lefthander who spent the bulk of his career with the Dodgers, the two-time 20-game winner spent 18 seasons in the majors. He was dealt to Houston in 1974 for Jim Wynn then traded in August to the Cardinals for Dan Larson. While an Astro, Osteen's record was 9-9 with two shutouts and a 3.71 ERA. For his career, the three-time All-Star posted a 196-195 record with 140 complete games and a 3.30 ERA. Osteen also pitched with the Reds, Senators and White Sox. |
