The Panamanian shortstop was acquired from the Yankees in 1990 and made his debut in 1994 as an injury call-up. In just his third big league game, he stunned the Cubs with two homers and three RBIs in a 5-3 victory. He saw more regular action the next two seasons. He hit .262 with 22 homers while in Houston.
Miller was dealt to the Tigers in the first of several mega-deals with Detroit in the mid-90s. He lasted just a year there, hitting .234, before being waived. It was his last big league action.
