Originally a second baseman, the Californian was converted to the outfield as he tried to make a path to the majors. Miller was never a star but did a lot of things well over nine seasons with the Astros. His first season was in 1965 at the tender age of 19 and he stayed through age 27. He hit .240 with 22 homers in Houston then was dealt to Atlanta during the 1973 season where he finished his big league career. Afterwards, Miller returned to Houston and worked for the Astros in a number of office capacities. |
