Often confused with legendary Don Larsen, Dan (no relation) was a first-round draft choice of the Cardinals but debuted with Houston in 1976. Over two seasons with the Astros, he posted a 6-15 record with a 4.45 ERA, mostly as a starter. Like his quasi-namesake, Larson was a good hitting pitcher, batting .254 while in Houston. Dealt to the Phillies and later the Cubs, Larson compiled a 10-25 record in seven big league seasons with a 4.40 ERA. |
