The Missouri-born lefthander was dealt to Houston in the infamous Rusty Staub trade with the expansion Montreal Expos before the 1969 season. He pitched 28 times for Houston in 1969 and appeared in four more games in 1971. During his time as an Astro, he posted a 1-2 record with one save and a 5.68 ERA.
