The Dominican-born utilityman had his one big league season with the Astros in 1992. He hit .200 in 79 games, playing both in the infield and outfield. His only big league homer was a game-winner against the Pirates for a 4-3 12-inning stunner.
Three years later, he re-appeared as one of the replacement players that were set to play during the 1995 lockout. A settlement was reached that allowed the union players to return before the season began.
