The Pennsylvanian played eight years with the Red Sox, hitting as many as 21 homers during his time there. After that, he kicked around with the Cubs, Tigers and Reds before he was taken by the Colt .45s in the 1961 expansion draft.

In 10 games, he hit .208 for Houston before he was released in mid-May. It was his last action in the big leagues.
