A switch-hitting outfielder, Mike "Tiny" Felder had played for the Brewers, Giants and Mariners before he was traded to the Astros before the 1994 season along with Mike Hampton for outfielder Eric Anthony.

In his final big league season, Felder hit .239 in 58 games. For his 10-year career, he hit .249 with 14 homers and 161 steals.
