A light-hitting utility infielder, Drumright batted .164 in 17 games for the Astros in 1978. The University of Oklahoma alum next surfaced with Oakland in 1981 where he took part in the division series and ALCS to end his big league career.

Drumright passed away on August 7th, 2010, in Springfield, MO, of a self-inflicted gunshot wound at age 55.
