The Dominican righty argued with Manager Jimy Williams, hastening his ticket out of town. Coming up with the White Sox and Tigers, Cruz came to Houston after the 2000 season in the same deal that sent Brad Ausmus and Doug Brocail back to the Astros for a second time. In two seasons, Cruz had a 5-9 record with two saves and a 4.31 ERA in 109 games.
