The bespectacled southpaw was signed by the Colt .45s in 1963 and spent seven seasons bouncing between the parent club and the minor leagues. Over that time, he had an 8-7 record with a 4.22 ERA in 90 games. He was sold to the Padres after the 1969 season where he went 11-20 during two years for a career mark of 19-27.
