The lefthanded-hitting outfielder was drafted by the Astros in 1985 and made his debut with the parent club in 1990. He made eight at bats in seven games during that season without producing a hit.

Early in the 1991 season, the Delaware native was dealt to the Cubs for pitcher Dean Wilkins.
