An explosive power hitter, Anthony might have become a star if he could have struck out less and hit for a higher average. However, when he did connect, the ball often went a long way. Anthony was just one of two hitters to reach the upper deck of seats in right field at the Astrodome.
Over five seasons with the Astros, he hit .224 with 49 homers. He was then traded to Seattle after the 1993 season for outfielder Mike Felder and pitcher Mike Hampton in one of the franchise's better trades. Anthony kicked around with the Mariners, Reds, Rockies and Dodgers, finishing his big league career in 1997.
