The Astros were determined to get Dallas Keuchel his first win of the season Saturday. After plating eight runs in the first two innings and ten runs after four, all the lefty had to do was survive five innings pitched to claim his first victory, which he did in a 10-1 rout of the White Sox.

The victory kept Houston in first place in the AL West following their season-best fifth straight win.

The former Cy Young Award winner lasted six innings, allowing four hits and two walks while striking out six. His ERA dropped to 3.10. Hector Rondon, Brad Peacock and Tony Sipp provided a hitless inning of scoreless relief each to mop up.

Josh Reddick was the star on offense, blasting a grand slam off Lucas Giolito in the second. He added a solo shot off Chris Volstad in the fourth. Jose Altuve, Carlos Correa, Alex Bregman and Marwin Gonzalez also contributed a pair of hits each.

Almost 24,000 sat in Bear weather of 53 degrees and many booed loudly after it was clear the White Sox would fall for the 13th time in 17 games. After last year's sell-off, the ChiSox are in fierce competition to tank for the overall first draft choice 14 months from now.

Lance McCullers (2-1) will try to wrap up the series sweep Sunday afternoon in a 1:10 pm Central finale. Reynaldo Lopez (0-2) is the projected starter for Chicago.

AstrosDaily.com sends our best wishes to White Sox reliever Danny Farquhar who collapsed with a brain aneurysm during Friday's contest. It is good that he got the help he needed quickly and the hope is for a speedy recovery.
