Welcome back, Carlos Lee! The veteran slugger feasted on New York Met pitcher Doug Pelfrey with a two-run double in the first and a three-run homer in the second to pace a 9-5 Astros victory Sunday in Kissimmee. Jed Lowrie also homered as Houston pushed their spring record to 8-7.

It was back-and-forth early with the Mets taking leads of 1-0 and 4-2 in the top half of the first two innings against Livan Hernandez who lasted just three innings. But the Astros pelted Pelfrey for eight runs over the first three frames, raising his ERA to 14.90.

Lee notched his first homer and first five RBIs of the spring, raising his average to .364. Travis Buck had three hits, including two doubles. The outfielder is making himself hard to cut with a .438 average. Lowrie's bat has also come alive with two hits and three RBIs.

In other notes, Jordan Schafer left the game after tweaking his hand making a sliding catch. Brett Wallace made a late appearance at 3B and swatted a double. Humberto Quintero had a single in three trips during his first spring action and Brandon Lyon worked a scoreless inning with a strikeout as he appears to be rounding into form.

Next up is a trip to Jupiter - literally. The Astros will visit the Marlins' camp for a 12:05 Central contest on Monday. Kyle Weiland, who had an impressive starting debut, will get another chance to add his name to the mix of fifth starter possibilities.
