Wandy Rodriguez gave up five Atlanta runs in the first inning, including a grand slam by Jason Heyward as Houston lost, 9-5, on Friday night. Michael Bourn (you remember him?) also went deep for the Braves.

Travis Buck drove in Bourn's replacement, Jordan Schafer, to give the Astros a 1-0 lead in the first off Tommy Hanson but the game soon turned out of reach. Buck also homered in the third.

Houston pecked away but Atlanta was never seriously threatened after Bourn's two-run shot in the fourth. Besides Shafer and Buck, the other multi-hit game for the Astros was by Brett Wallace who played both third base and first base.

It's a New York-New York weekend for the Astros this weekend, starting with a road game against the Yankees on Saturday. Bud Norris will get the start for Houston in the 12:05 Central tilt. On Sunday, the Astros return to Kissimmee to host the Mets.
