Ever since Ed Wade came to Houston, there's been an odd relationship between the Astros and Phillies. For ex-Phils, the emotions seem to be similar to Turk Farrell's feelings about the Dodgers, whom he never forgave for leaving him exposed in the expansion draft which banished him to Houston for five long years.

On Tuesday night, it was J.A. Happ's turn to bedevil his old employers after Brett Myers had done the same the night before. Happ scattered four hits over six innings and got relief help from Fernando Rodriguez and David Carpenter to topple Philadelphia, 5-2.

A home run by Hunter Pence in the fourth was the only run allowed by Happ while Carlos Ruiz added another solo blast off Carpenter in the ninth for the final tally.

J.B. Shuck came off the bench after Jason Michaels was injured to pace the Astros with three hits. Clint Barmes struck the key blow, a three-run Crawford shot off Cole Hamels to cap the four-run fourth that turned the game.

J.D. Martinez had an RBI double to open the scoring and Jason Bourgeois broke the 1-1 tie with a single to plate Shuck. Yep, the Phillies were done in by J.A., J.B. and J.D.

After Hamels and Roy Oswalt failed to put the Astros away, Roy Halladay (17-5) will get his chance Wednesday afternoon in the series finale. Bud Norris (6-9) will try for the sweep in the 1:05 Central businessman's special.
