With the score tied 3-3 in the bottom of the 11th inning Friday night, Houston reliever Lucas Harrell issued one-out walks to Ryan Zimmerman and Michael Morse, prompting Houston manager Brad Mills to bring in Wilton Lopez. Jayson Werth hit a line shot to 3B Jimmy Paredes, who knocked the ball down but bungled his throw to second, allowing Zimmerman to score. The result was a 4-3 loss to the Washington Nationals, the Astros' 96th setback of the season.

Zimmerman went yard on Houston starter Bud Norris in the first to give Washington an early 2-0 lead. Norris partly redeemed himself in the third by plating Clint Barmes with a sac fly. Barmes had doubled to open the frame, then moved to third on a grounder by Humberto Quintero.

Chris Johnson tied it up on the fourth, plating Jose Altuve on a sacrifice. Houston took a 3-2 lead in the sixth when Barmes drove in Carlos Lee, who had doubled his way on. Chris Marrero tied it up in the seventh, driving in Danny Espinosa.

Houston reliever Sergio Escalona is likely out for the season after spraining his ankle during BP, tripping over over a stray glove in the outfield. Kingwood HS and Rice alum Lance Pendleton, whom the Astros claimed off waivers Friday from the Yankees, is expected to join the club Saturday.

Next up, Houston's Wandy Rodriguez (10-10, 3.47) faces fellow southpaw John Lannan (9-11, 3.48) in Saturday's tilt. First pitch is set for 6:05 p.m. CDT.
