Happ: The losing continues

Henry Sosa got his revenge on the Giants, the team that traded him away, on Thursday. On Friday, it was Jeff Keppinger's turn.
Keppinger smacked a two-run double in the fifth against lefthander J.A. Happ to give the Giants a 2-1 verdict. Keppinger was dealt to San Francisco last month for Sosa and pitcher Jason Stoffel.
Was Happ a better pitcher in his first game back from AAA Oklahoma City? Depends how you see it. Two runs allowed (one earned) in six innings on four hits and four walks might seem like an upgrade over the guy who routinely allowed five or more runs before his demotion. But the Giants have one of the worst offenses in baseball so another game or two might provide a clearer perspective.
Still, it was Happ's 15th loss of the season as Morris Bumgarner posted similar numbers but gave up just one run then got hitless relief to preserve the win.
Houston didn't score until the seventh. Matt Downs was hit by a pitch and advanced to second on a single by Jose Altuve, moved to third on an error then came home on a grounder by Clint Barmes. But that's where the rally died.
Brett Myers (3-13) will get the call in Saturday's 8:05 Central matchup however the Giants starter had yet to be announced as this was written. He's hoping to find better luck than Happ had.
