With three hits in their first five batters, Astros fans hoped this would be their night. Instead, Chris Volstad tossed goose eggs for the next five innings while the Marlins broke through to take a 6-3 decision over Houston Saturday night.

Cody Ross and Wes Helms belted back-to-back triples off Wandy Rodriguez in the sixth to take a 3-2 lead then the Fish added three more in the seventh off Mark Melancon to put the game away.

Back in the first, Michael Bourn walked and Angel Sanchez singled before Carlos Lee spanked a two-run single. Sanchez also drove home the game's final run in the ninth just before Hunter Pence struck out to end it.

Florida goes for the sweep Sunday afternoon at 12:10 Central with Nelson Figueroa (3-1) challenging Ricky Nolasco (14-8) at Your Name Goes Here Stadium. The Astros will then hop a plane to Philadelphia for a four-game set with the Phillies.
