Carlos Lee got his league-leading 100th RBI of the season and the 1000th RBI of his career on Friday. More importantly, those RBIs came on a two-run double in the 10th inning that broke a 5-5 tie and led the Astros to a 9-5 victory at Cincinnati. Hunter Pence followed with a two-run homer, his second of the series. Lee had four of the 16 hits rung up by Houston hitters.

Humberto Quintero blasted a two-run homer, his first in the big leagues since 2005, that gave Houston a 5-4 lead in the seventh. He came close to a home run earlier but was robbed in center field by Corey Patterson. Kaz Matsui also went deep to lead off the game.

Chris Sampson lost the lead for Randy Wolf in the seventh but pitched three innings and wound up with the win. Wesley Wright tossed a scoreless 10th inning.

Saturday's contest will start at 6:10 Central with Brian Moehler (7-4) squaring off against Bronson Arroyo (10-8). Houston is now 3-2 on the road trip and 12-8 since the All-Star Break.
