Geoff Blum blasted a pair of homers and drove in four while Brad Ausmus went 4-for-4 to pace an 11-6 slaughter of Milwaukee on Sunday. New acquisition Randy Wolf was supposed to be the big story but he couldn't last the needed five innings to pick up the win.
His new teammates supported him with a seven-run fifth, capped by Blum's second long ball of the afternoon. Overall, the Stros dented Jeff Suppan and Seth McClung for 16 hits. Six Houston batters had multi-hit games.
Chris Sampson picked up the win with 2-2/3rd innings of relief while Chad Paronto mopped up.
Roy Oswalt (7-8) comes off the disabled list Monday to face the Cincinnati Reds who, amazingly, are making their first trip to Houston this season. Nothing could be a better human get-well card for Oswalt than the Reds whom he has owned throughout his career. Johnny Cueto (7-9) will take the mound for Cincy in the 7:05 Central start.
