A home run explosion by Carlos Lee and Hunter Pence in the fourth gave Houston a lead midway through the game Saturday but Milwaukee answered with two runs off Geoff Geary in the seventh and two more off Doug Brocail in the eighth to even the series at one apiece in a 6-4 verdict.
Ryan Braun drove in the first four Brewer runs, two on sacrifice flies against starter Brandon Backe and the others on a game-tying homer off Geary.
Miguel Tejada took to batting second with renewed energy, slapping four singles while Lance Berkman had two hits, including the 1400th of his career. Michael Bourn left the game with a sprained ankle he injured while trying to break up a double play.
Randy Wolf (6-10 for San Diego) makes his Astros debut Sunday afternoon against Jeff Suppan (5-6) in a 1:05 p.m. Central start. The Brewers are expected to play with plenty of emotion after moving into a tie with the slumping Cubs for the Central Division lead.
