Hudson, Braves Scalp Houston

Hudson: In command.

Like death and taxes, one of the surest things in life is that the Astros will lose at Turner Field, and often without much of a fight. That happened again Friday as the hot-again-cold-again Astros extended their losing streak to four with a 6-2 defeat.

Brian Moehler was clawed for five runs while Tim Hudson held the Houston bats at bay over seven innings, allowing just one run and four hits. Lance Berkman broke out of his mini-slump with a pair of hits and Darin Erstad, subbing in center field, scored twice but there was little else to commend the Astro hitters.

Saturday will feature Chris Sampson's (3-3) return to the rotation, albeit as a replacement for the injured Roy Oswalt. He'll face lefty Jo-Jo Reyes (3-6) in a 6:00 Central start. My faint hope is that somebody can talk Jo-Jo and Mark Loretta into doing a duet of the Beatles' "Get Back". That would be worth the price of admission.
