Roy Oswalt pitched around trouble for six innings before injuring his hip in a 4-1 victory over Los Angeles Monday night. Oswalt struck out nine and walked none. Chris Sampson, Wesley Wright and Jose Valverde finished up with three shutout innings.

Lance Berkman tied the game in the first with his 22nd homer of the year. In the fourth, Houston got their other three tallies on a Mark Loretta single and a two-run hit by Brad Ausmus.

The Astros were outhit, 11-6, but took advantage of five free passes from the suddenly generous Dodgers. Houston is now unbeaten against the Blue Crew in four tries this year.

Wandy Rodrgiuez (3-3) tries to keep the momentum going Tuesday night in a 7:05 Central start against rookie Clayton Kershaw (0-2), a lefthander from Dallas.
