Sampson: In command.

Start checking for other signs of the Apocalypse. The Astros trotted out Brian Moehler and Chris Sampson on the road on consecutive nights and the pair gave up nary a run.
The bullpen chimed in this time, adding to Sampson's three-hit, seven-inning shutout with two more scoreless frames to whitewash Los Angeles, 5-0. A two-run double in the first by Darin Erstad and a two-run single in the second by Miguel Tejada were the highlights. After that, the Astros just let their moundsmen do the rest.
Lance Berkman had two more hits Saturday to raise his batting average to .386. His OPS is now 1.256 which would tie him for the 10th best season of all time if he could keep that up the rest of the year.
Shawn Chacon (0-0) has some tough acts to follow as he takes the hill Sunday in the series finale. He will face Hiroki Kiroda (1-2) in a 3:10 Central start.
