Hampton two-hits Astros in 16-0 debacle
In one of the worst losses in franchise history, the Astros were pummeled 16-0 by the Braves, completing a four-game sweep in Atlanta. Former Astro Mike Hampton did the dirty work, holding the team to just two hits in a complete game effort.

Rookie Enrique Astacio allowed 8 runs in 5 innings, but that was not as bad as the relief effort by Brandon Suckworse -- 5 runs in 2 innings, raising his season ERA to 11.40. After compiling a 6.86 ERA last season, why is this guy even on the team?

Every Brave in the lineup got at least one hit today, including a home run by Mike Hampton against Chad Harville in the 8th. Even the late-inning defensive replacements for the Braves picked up hits in their only at-bats. Overall, the Braves hit 5 home runs, including two by Ryan Langerhans -- who sported .204 average and just ONE home run for his entire career entering today.

OK, we suck. The Astros will finish their disastrous road trip with a 3-game set in Florida before returning home.
