Two HRs too littlle, too late

Having ignominiously let the NL Central Division slip from their grasp in front of the home-town loyal last night, the Houston Astros decided to stick it to the ticket-buying public yet again, this time selling them tickets to a meaningless game they had no intention of playing to their fullest ability.
It was nice to see two Jeff Bagwell homers today. Would that they had come when they were most needed last week, before the division lead was lost.
In true Spring Training fashion, as soon as a marquee player made an appearance Sunday, he was replaced by a bench-warmer. Both sides decided to just mail it in.
This fan hopes that Drayton McLane will do the right thing and sell the team to someone who is committed to winning. Bragging about how well the team does on so few dollars doesn't wash when we have to watch the likes of the Cubs in the post-season.
O Pink-Shirted One: either spend what it takes to win, or sell the team to someone who will. Houston deserves a team that wins, not one whose owner's first and only consideration is money, and to whom second place is acceptable. Championships aren't won on a spreadsheet.
Drayton, what have you done to be a champion today?
